Lowestoft Museum and partners, Suffolk

Project and relationship management of a capital project funded by the Arts Council England MEND fund to address water incursion and humidity levels in the seventeenth-century grade II listed building, Broad House, where the museum is based. The project involved a wide range of local stakeholders.

St Andrew’s Church, Soham, Cambridgeshire

Management of a capital National Heritage Lottery Fund project and associated activity plan, leading on all stakeholder reporting and managing timetable and budget. The capital project replaced failed rainwater goods and undertook remedial carpentry and stonework on the transepts of a grade-1 listed medieval church. Project outputs also included a community archaeology project, a heritage craft skills morning, and a medieval fair; working with a wide range of artists, makers, and heritage freelancers to deliver these activities, with outcomes for the local community, students from Soham Village College and built heritage.

Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester

Oral history consultancy for the RNCM’s National Heritage Lottery Project, Throwing Open the Concert Doors. Longform life story interviews with longstanding staff members and illustrious alumni, and support for the college’s archive team to ensure the project met oral history best practice standards.

Poole Museum, Dorset

Consultancy for a participatory oral history project about Poole and the sea, delivered as part of the Museum’s major capital redevelopment. The project included a bespoke training package for museum staff and volunteers, and ongoing support for establishing oral history practice in the local studies library based at the museum.

National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire

A national heritage engagement project exploring and commemorating our collective national experience of the coronavirus pandemic and the associated national lockdowns. The project worked with four communities who had been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, and a range of freelances artists and facilitators, to create original artworks, a series of learning resources and a project exhibition. A participatory oral history project gathered nearly one hundred memories, stories and experiences of the pandemic from diverse voices across the country and established an oral history archive at the Arboretum.

Nottingham Trent University, Nottinghamshire

Project support for a National Heritage Lottery Fund project which collected and shared the history of the Middle Street Resource Centre, Beeston, a day centre supporting those with mental health challenges in the community. Project outputs included thirty oral history recordings, participatory arts and craft workshops, a touring exhibition, a project booklet, and a documentary film. The project was co-produced with members of the centre with lived experience of mental health.

Cambridge Arts Theatre, Cambridgeshire

Project management of a National Lottery Heritage Fund project to catalogue, protect and share the Theatre’s historic archive. Project outputs included an online oral history archive, a series of temporary exhibitions, school resources, and an archive catalogue. The rehoused archive was deposited at the V&A Theatre and Performance Archive.

Association of English Cathedrals

A project to establish a panel of volunteer experts to support cathedrals embarking on major project funded by the All Churches Trust (Benefact Trust).

Legasee Education Trust, National

A project to uncover the hidden history of the Korean War. Project outputs included videography, an exhibition at Tameside Library and Archives, a dedicated Arts Award, and a series of education resources.

Museums Norfolk, Norfolk

Bespoke training in oral history for a group of young people not in education, employment or training (NEETs).

Army Flying Museum, Middle Wallop, Hampshire

Oral history consultancy to support the museum’s National Lottery Heritage Fund project ‘British Army Flying: Discovering stories of Courage, Comradeship and Innovation’. Developing and delivering training for staff and volunteers, interviewing veterans, assisting the archive team in managing the project.

St Matthew's Church, Morley, Derbyshire

Project management of a capital National Heritage Lottery Fund project and associated activity plan, which will clean and conserve four of the Church's medieval stained glass windows, celebrated as 'some of the finest medieval glass in the country'. The project will also install heritage interpretation to improve the visitor experience and run a wide variety of workshops for groups and the general public.

Mercian Regiment Museum Worcestershire and partners, Worcestershire

Project Management of the Development Phase of a major capital project to move the Mercian Regiment Museum and Worcestershire Yeomanry Museum into The Commandery, a grade-1 listed building in the care of Museums Worcestershire in Worcester City Centre. The project was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
